Wynn Las Vegas
Grand Opening
& New Year’s Eve Celebration

Event Brand Concept | Creative Direction | Invitation | Event Accessories

With the advent of Wynn Las Vegas, Wynn Resorts shifted the center of gravity in Las Vegas away from themed hospitality to luxury outright. Elements of the Grand Opening invitation take their cues from the resort’s richly wrought design and architectural details, including its rich “über” molding and opulent carpet pattern. Hand-crafted boxes with sculptured embossing, 12-color silk-screened printing and silk taffeta lining further teased guests with a hint of the exquisiteness to come.

Wynn Resorts put Las Vegas on notice that the three-day New Year’s celebration at Wynn Las Vegas would be the signature event of the season. As with the hotel itself, The Party dispenses with theming: size and format of the invitations remain the same from year to year. Marc Friedland established the look and feel for the very first party and all those that have followed. Inspiration comes from the architecture—in this case, the elegant curve of the building profile. With understated elegance, welcome collateral for The Party sets expectations for something spectacular.
