Gogo is a young woman who lives up to her name: full of energy, enthusiasm and a sense of adventure. To celebrate her and the many things she loves, Marc Friedland envisioned her Bat Mitzvah celebration as an immersive experience that would touch every conceivable detail before, during and after. Welcome to Gogo’s World. Playful Gogo-named concepts, capturing both her personality and passions, each with its own icon, created a layered experience filled with discovery: Gogo Grooves identified Gogo’s personal soundtrack. Gogo Gives, the charitable project she started. Gogo Global, her love of travel. A chunky Lucite G filled with these and many other Gogo-inspired icons doubled as invitation and keepsake. The modern art museum in which the party took place lent itself to a highlight in keeping with the occasion: “Gogo Gonuts,” an edible installation comprising her name spelled out in donuts. And when the revelers were finally ready to call it an evening? Fresh baked cookies and milk with a parting message, “Good night, go home,” added a final note of surprise and delight.
